 Great Shoulder WrapMar 13, 2010
Having a frozen shoulder is no fun. Attempting to position cold/ice packs and keep them over the area that needs attention is no easy problem. Therefore, when my doctor recommended one of these type of shoulder wraps, I was skeptical. McDavid's Gel Pack shoulder wrap is THE BEST! Not only does it stay right where I need it - but it stays cold for the required 20 minutes. As a little hint, make sure these gel packs are in the main part of the freezer - and if possible laying flat. Additional gel packs to switch out is a good idea. I've been using mine for almost 3 weeks now and have only noticed that as they warm up, there's a residual dampness on my shoulder. GREAT product!

AFTER USING THE WRAP FOR THE FIFTH TIME I FOUND THE GEL BAGS WERE LEAKING I WAS CAREFUL NOT TO OVERHEAT THEM BUT, THEY STILL LEAKED I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT SOME GENERIC ONES AND IT IS FINE

Too bulky for petite women and doesn't retain heat wellJan 04, 2010
I bought this for my petite mother (she is thin and about 5 feet 2 inches tall) to help with heating her adhesive capsulitis ("frozen shoulder") condition. However, it turned out to be too bulky for her. She complained that it was too heavy and only stayed warm for 3 hours. She requested that I return it. It may be better for larger people with more fat on their shoulder areas, because it is a bit heavy for my petite mom.

This is a great way to ice your shoulder. The ice packs are nice and flexible and fit nicely into the compartments in the shoulder wrap. It allows you to be completely mobile while you ice your shoulder! I have not used it for warmth yet, but if you want to ice your shoulder this works great.
