Great Glove - Softball AND BaseballApr 08, 2009
I've always worn Mizuno gloves since I was a kid, and lately, they have a lot more competition. Most people don't play baseball after high school so I was really just looking for a bigger glove for softball, but yet something that wouldn't be ridiculously big if I wanted to play catch with a baseball. I really liked some of the other offerings (Louisville Slugger Helix 13", the Wilzon DeMarini's 13", and a couple Rawlings gloves which were all in the $60-90 range), but this Mizuno was $100 and comparably well-worth the extra money in my opinion. Granted, I'm not the most serious softball player around, but I like a glove that feels well-crafted, smells and feels like real leather (which it is), and fits "like a glove". I loved the way it fits my hand. It fit much better than any of the other gloves, and it seems like it will be easier to break in. I like that this glove feels moderately easy to squeeze shut.
Additionally, I believe this glove is designed for baseball which is nice. There's something really nice about the way that a baseball glove closes... and the pocket. Softball gloves *seem* to have slightly deeper pockets and the pinky finger on them tends to be curved in toward the glove. I don't like that so much, so this glove was perfect, despite the fact that I plan on using it primarily for softball.
The only thing that I wish I could improve on this glove is the coloring. I wish it were either all black or all beige. I'm not one for a flashy glove that looks cool. I just want quality and function.
I give this glove 5 stars because the only thing that I could find to nit-pick about is the lace coloring which is very highly contrasted against the glove color. I'm sure that with enough oil, dirt, and breaking in, the contrast will reduce. I'm thrilled with it and would buy it again in a heartbeat if I did it over again.

This is a great glove, ready for games straight out of the wrapper. I'd have liked it a little larger (I play in the outfield), but that's no fault of the glove itself (just wish they had a 13.5" model.) It could use a little bit more padding on the palm, but you're supposed to catch the ball in the web anyway :) The leather is great, perfect combination of soft but not flimsy, and it's a great looking glove, too.

The MVP is one of the best gloves I have ever owned. It has everything you would want in a glove. It comes ready to play. No breaking in period. It is comfortable and best of all it is high quality. There is no better glove out there for this kind of price. Amazon.com was very quick with this order. I am very happy with my order.

Soft, smooth and easy to break-in.Jul 26, 2006
The Floridian reviewer was muy provechoso- this glove is very smooth. The leather gives nicely and the glove closes on the ball easily, right out of the box. In a very short time, it's just about ready for game use. Looks good, too.

Compre este Guante la semana pasada e inmediatamente pude usarlo. La Piel es muy suave y de excelente calidad. Para mi gusto lo hubiese comprado 12.5" en vez de 13", pero me siento muy comodo con él. Lo recomiendo con 5 estrellas.
